Retina and Uveitis Specialist

Dr. Raiji is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in retinal vascular and macular disease, as well as uveitic disease. She teaches resident physicians, fellows and medical students as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Loyola University School of Medicine as well as Stroger’s Cook County Hospital. Prior to moving to Chicago, Dr. Raiji was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. Prior to matriculating to medical school at Michigan State University, Dr. Raiji received a graduate degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan. Following medical school, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the George Washington University, where she served as Chief Resident. She completed fellowship training at the University of Southern California’s Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles.

When not directly involved in caring for patients, Dr. Raiji enjoys attending national and international ophthalmology conferences and collaborating with her colleagues. In her free time, Dr. Raiji enjoys hot yoga and spending time with her husband and two children.
